CANADA'S TIMBERLAND

In 2010, 65 Eastern White Pine are planted near the base of the CN Tower. As the trees grow, a constructed timber landscape rises around them, defining a uniquely Canadian site: Toronto's new wooden heart.

An elevated pedestrain thoroughfare connects Queen Street to the newly developed waterfront. The walkway encircles the CN tower to create a raised edge that defines the threshold of the site and inspires visitors with vistas of the tower and beyond.

Ramps spiral downwards from the edge, spilling into a giant timber plaza The borders of the plaza carve out unique parks united by the ubiquitous presence of timber.
